MARFA — On Tuesday, Sticks & Bones Desert Supply shop hosted an opening of photography on exhibit — with proceeds going to the Friends of the Ruidosa Church (FORC), a nonprofit restoring the historic adobe Church on the Rio Grande. Guests enjoyed food and drink while browsing the artistic works of several local photographers.

FORC is seeking funding to help “Raise the Bell,” which hung on the historic structure between two towers after the church’s construction in 1916. The nonprofit recently has received grants for planning and reconstruction efforts, but with grant matches needed, it continues to ask for help from the community.

Photographs will be on display and for purchase until July 6 at 1309 W. San Antonio Street in Marfa.
