VALENTINE — Valentine ISD Superintendent Debbie Engle is retiring from her role as of June 30, 2025. Engle has been with the district for nine years. “It is a very special place, and I will miss it,” she said. 

The Valentine ISD School Board hired Jason Inman as the new superintendent. Inman previously served as the superintendent for Compass Academy Charter School in Odessa, where he has worked since 2016. Inman’s first day with Valentine ISD will be July 1, 2025.
