Fundraiser Golf Tournament –– Marfa
Saturday, 7/5, 10 a.m. at the Marfa Golf Course. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
Hosted by Thin Blue Line Charity

July 4th weekend –– Marathon
Saturday, 7/5
On July 5 starting at 6 p.m., the Friends of the Post will host the annual 4th of July Dance at Post Park — a Marathon tradition for over 100 years. A full weekend of events is scheduled every July 4th weekend around the Dance at Post Park, including fireworks, a parade, chili cook-offs, all-school reunions, BBQs, and more!. The Marathon Volunteer Fire Department and the Marathon Independent School District also hold annual fundraiser events throughout 4th ofJuly Weekend.
July 4th activities — Presidio
Friday, 7/4, Free pool time!
The City of Presidio Aquatics Center will have free admission on July 4 and open until 10 p.m.
Saturday, 7/5, parade and fireworks starting at 7 p.m.
Parade begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall and ends at the city pool. There will be music, vendors, and fireworks (shows 10 p.m. to midnight). Bring your lawn chairs!
120th anniversary celebration –– Sanderson
Friday 7/4, and Saturday 7/5
Terrell County is celebrating its 120th anniversary this week in high style with an array of family-friendly events across town. On Friday, the town will be hosting a street dance starring Craig Carter from 8 p.m. to midnight. Saturday will kick off with a parade (lineup begins at 10:30 a.m. at the bank), followed by an afternoon chock full of activities on the courthouse lawn. Another street dance will commence at 8 p.m. on Saturday with music by the Western Express.
Parade –– Terlingua
Friday, 7/4, 6 p.m.
The parade will kick off at 6 p.m., with parade lineup beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Cottonwood grocery store, led by Grand Marshal Susan Martin. Chief Susan Martin is being honored for her service to the community. Following will be live music and food at the TFEMS building off Highway 170.
