MARFA — The result of an ongoing conversation between friends. The exhibition and conversations — Deals All Day from Mo Eldridge and Matt Scobey — circle around the many forms of deals. All day the deals of the world frame our view: the deals we make with one another, the spirit of deals we make to stay alive. The exhibition stacks and threads layers of light, fragments, and forms.
RULE Gallery will host an opening reception on Saturday, July 26, from 6-9 p.m. with the artists in attendance at 204 E. San Antonio St in Marfa.

With material play, both Eldridge and Scobey construct works through the consideration of concept, conversation, and what continues to shift alongside. Eldridge uses fabric and frames with both tension and suspension to create kinetic compositions. These works are often described as ephemeral and touching. Scobey uses plastic cups, bowls, baskets, and acrylic to create stacked sculptures, often described as experiments in light and material energy.
Deals All Day offers an invitation to step through the portals of conversations that emerge between two friends finding truths in the deals of dialogue. Together in the gallery, these works are a window into new worlds of consideration, collaboration, and frames of forms catching shifting light.
Regular RULE hours are Wednesday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The closing of Deals All Day will take place at the gallery on Saturday, September 13, at 11:11 am, accompanied by a sound performance featuring vintage kitchen timers as a prelude to the annual Sonic Rodeo.
