MARFA — Former City of Marfa attorney Teresa Todd, who resigned in October 2022 after 15 years in the role, is now acting as a consultant for the city, according to Mayor Manny Baeza, who welcomed her back at a City Council meeting on Tuesday, where she was present.
“She’s going to be a consultant with the City of Marfa for the time being, just to help with the whole budget process, any legal questions that may arise — they’ll have to come through me first, just to make that clear — because we’re having issues with our current law firm, as you all are aware,” Baeza said.
Baeza told The Big Bend Sentinel the city was experiencing delays with their law firm Bojorquez but they are still on retainer. Todd said she was happy to be of assistance and thanked the mayor and the council.
