This is to announce that Bobby “Lee” Donaldson Jr., passed during the week of August 18 – 23. We are uncertain of the exact day because he lived alone at his favorite little ranch home known as 4 Corners.

Lee was born September 22, 1967, and passed at the young age of 58. Lee worked throughout his life for his father, Bobby Donaldson Sr., but decided to branch out on his own and worked many years as an art fabricator for Donald Judd. Lee was accepted into the Border Patrol but decided to spend his life in Marfa. During the latter years of his life, he helped as caregiver for his mother, Mary Ann Donaldson.

The surviving members of Lee’s family are his son, Bobby Lee Donaldson III; his wife, Hillary; and four grandchildren, Kinsley, Jaycie, Maverick and Briggs. He truly loved his grandchildren. One of the last favors he asked me was to go with him to see his granddaughters in a soccer match, but unfortunately we never made it. Also survived by an older sister, Cheryl Donaldson, and younger brother, Chuck Donaldson, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

May you rest in peace my dear brother. You were always loved and will be missed forever
