MARFA — St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Marfa is pleased to continue its tradition of Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m. till noon at the courthouse in Marfa.
In celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, you are invited to bring your beloved critters—dogs, cats, horses, iguanas, etc., to the courthouse lawn to be blessed for good health and well-being.
If your pet cannot attend in person, please bring a photo. You may also bring a favorite stuffed animal or photo of a pet who has passed on. The bottom line is, you bring them, we’ll bless them.
This event is free and everyone is invited. All live pets must be on a leash or in a carrier. There will be treats for pets and refreshments for their humans. For more information, call 432-386-2433 or email michaelwallens@gmail.com.
