Art Blocks Marfa Weekend, the premier event for generative art, is set to return to Marfa for its fifth annual gathering, today through Sunday—so expect yet another weekend with visitors roaming the streets.
The event will bring together artists, collectors, and enthusiasts to celebrate creativity and technology in the unique setting of the high desert. This year’s weekend is particularly significant as it marks the conclusion of the “Art Blocks 500” collection, which defined the platform’s foundational era from 2020-2025.
The weekend promises a diverse range of official and unofficial events across Marfa, including exhibitions, demonstrations, and community activities. Attendees can anticipate a “science fair-esque” atmosphere with experimental projects, and a variety of shows at different galleries, event spaces, and local businesses. The event’s headquarters will be the Art Blocks Gallery at 109 W. San Antonio St. and glitch Gallery at 108 E. El Paso. The schedule will be filled with art, conversations, and social events.
The event is free for general programming; “Anniversary Swag” packages that include special merchandise and a commemorative poster are sold out. For the complete schedule, see artblocks.io/articles/art-blocks-marfa-weekend-2025.
