Last month, the Marfa ISD School Board voted to formally pursue a search for a new superintendent to replace current Interim Superintendent Arturo Alferez. The board is now seeking input from staff, parents and community members through an anonymous online survey to support its selection of the next superintendent of Marfa schools. The survey will be available until 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 11.
Board President Philip Boyd said the survey is “an optional tool offered by the firm aiding us with our search for a new superintendent.” He added, “We’re hoping the tool can be a way for the community to weigh in and give us some insight into what is valued in district leadership. This will be information that is taken for consideration during the evaluation process that will take place over the next couple of months.”
The seven-question survey takes less than five minutes to complete, and all members of the Marfa community are encouraged to participate.
