Alpine
As of Tuesday, officials with Alpine Public Works were unable to give an opening date for the Alpine Municipal Pool.
Work on the pool has been delayed by bad weather, and city officials do not want to open the facility until all the work is done and all the new equipment has been tested, said Adriana Holgin, public works administrative assistant.
The Alpine pool has been undergoing an extensive overhaul to fix multiple issues including cracks that caused it to leak thousands of gallons of water each day, and installing a new pump, a new pool liner, a new ADA-complient lift and new tile.
Once open, Alpine residents will be able to enjoy newly extended hours. The pool will be open seven days a week from noon to 7 p.m. for public swimming, Sunday to Friday from 11 a.m. to noon for lap swimming and aerobics, and holidays noon to 8 p.m. for public swimming. Residents will also be able to rent the pool for parties from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Alpine officials have also added late summer dates for the municipal pool. From August 15 to September 27 the pool will be open for public swimming from noon to 7 p.m.
Alpine residents can pay for the season, monthly or daily for pool admissions. Season passes include individual passes for $90 for the season or $30 monthly, family passes for families of up to five for $450 for the season or $150 monthly, and family passes for families of more than five for $540 for the season or $180 monthly. Senior passes are available for $30 a month.
Daily admissions will be $4 per person for all-day public swimming and $4 per person for lap or aerobic swimming.
Anyone under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No glass, grilling, open fires or alcohol will be allowed.
