NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON DESIRED FUTURE CONDITIONS

PROPOSED BY GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT AREA 4

FOR THE IGNEOUS AND WEST TEXAS BOLSONS AQUIFERS

June 18, 2026 at 4pm at the Presidio Municipal Development District Office 608 W. O’Reilly Street, Suite D, Presidio, Texas 79845

Notice is hereby given that the Presidio County Underground Water Conservation District (PCUWCD) will hold a public hearing on the Desired Future Conditions (DFCs) for the Igneous and West Texas Bolsons Aquifers proposed at a Joint Planning Meeting on April 30, 2026 by the member districts of Groundwater Management Area 4, including the Brewster County Groundwater Conservation District, the Culberson County Groundwater Conservation District, the Jeff Davis County Underground Water Conservation District, the Hudspeth County Underground Water Conservation District #1, and the Presidio County Underground Water Conservation District. 

The proposed Desired Future Conditions (DFCs) to be reviewed at the hearing include:

An average drawdown of 19 feet between 2030 and 2080 for the Igneous Aquifer within the Presidio County Underground Water Conservation District. 

An average drawdown of 20 feet between 2030 and 2080 for the West Texas Bolsons Aquifer within the Presidio County Underground Water Conservation District.

Interested parties are invited to attend the hearing and provide public comment or to submit written public comments by email to info@pcuwcd.org. Written comments must be received by noon on the day of the hearing for consideration by the PCUWCD board.

INVITATION TO BID

Marfa ISD is accepting sealed bids for the following: Installation of district chain link fence. Individual bids accepted.  Bid packets may be picked up at the Marfa ISD Administration office during regular business hours.

Bids are to be marked “Fence” and delivered no later than 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 18th, to Marfa ISD, P.O. Box T, 400 W. Lincoln St., Marfa, TX 79843.  Bids will be opened and reviewed Monday, June 22nd at the MISD Administration Building, 400 W. Lincoln St., Marfa, TX.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Presidio Independent School District is accepting “Seal Bids” for Student Accident
Athletic/Activity Insurance for school year 2026-2027. Bids will be accepted until June 09, 2026, at 3:00p.m. CST. Prospective bidders may secure further information and specifications from Carmen Rubner at crubner@presidio-isd.net. The Presidio ISD reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive all formalities and irregularities in bidding. The Sealed Bids will be publicly opened on June 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CST. However, the bids will not be publicly exposed. Any bid received thereafter will not be considered and will be returned to the proposer unopened. Facsimiles will be accepted prior to the specified deadline. Presidio ISD reserves the right to postpone, to accept or to reject any or all bids as it deems to be in its best interest and to waive formalities and reasonable irregularities in proposing.
