Museum of the Big Bend hosts summer art camp

Alpine

Young artists will have a chance to explore their creative side this July as the Museum of the Big Bend hosts its annual Summer Art Camp.

Running from July 20–24, 2026, the camp will take place at the museum’s Cultural Events Center, located on the Sul Ross State University campus. The week-long camp is split into two age-specific half-day sessions:

  • Ages 4 to 6: 9 a.m. to noon
  • Ages 7 to 10: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Tickets are $50 for non-members and $35 for museum members. Parents looking to secure the discount can join or donate during the online registration process. Because the museum prioritizes hands-on instruction, spots for both age groups are strictly limited, and early registration is highly encouraged.
