PRESIDIO — The Presidio Public Library is launching a new project aimed at children between 1 and 3 years old, focused on promoting early literacy and facilitating socialization through interaction with other toddlers.
The program, led by Carmen Elguezabal, seeks to support families during the transition period leading up to school entry.
“We would love to support moms through the transition as their children get ready to start school, to help them during that stage,” Elguezabal said. “Not only will a story be read to them, but they will also get to use computers, learn basic rules, and do arts and crafts — all designed to help young children prepare for their next step into preschool.”
Program details:
- Start date: Tuesday, October 6
- Time: 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Frequency: Every Tuesday on an ongoing basis following the launch date
