Marfa ISD invites parents, families and community members to join Superintendent Stephen McCanless and district leaders for an evening of open conversation, collaboration and community engagement at the district’s first “Let’s Talk About It” open forum and community gathering next week.
The meeting will take place Wednesday, October 7, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Marfa ISD Auditorium on Gonzales Street.
“Let’s Talk About It” is the community’s opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, offer suggestions, and discuss the things that matter most to you and the school community.
The leadership at Marfa ISD sadi it believes strong schools are built through strong partnerships with its families and community. Whether you have a question, an idea, or simply want to hear about what’s happening at Marfa ISD, all are encouraged to attend and participate.
To help make this meeting accessible to more families, supervised activities will be available for children ages 3 and up while parents attend the gathering. Children can enjoy coloring, games, books and other activities.
Spanish-language interpreters will also be present to accommodate all families and community members.
