MARFA — To mark the conclusion of artist Katharina Grosse’s exhibition, The Super Eight at Galerie Max Hetzler, an artist talk between Grosse and Tim Johnson will take place at 11 a.m. Sunday, December 8.
Hetzler Gallery is located at 1976 Antelope Hills Road. The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibition consists of seven new works on canvas which Grosse painted in her studio in Aotearoa New Zealand in early 2024 specifically for this presentation. Grosse worked as an artist in residence with the Chinati Foundation in 1999 and returned to Marfa for the first time in 25 years. The artist worked in Galerie Max Hetzler’s studio during the run of the exhibition from May to December.
