Marfa — Wrong will host an opening for Cucurrucucú, a two-person exhibition on Thursday, June 5, from 5-7 p.m. at 110 N. Highland Ave. Wrong will be featuring work by local artist Camp Bosworth and Austin artist Sally Van Horn. Both artists create works pushing the boundaries of scale.

Artist Camp Bosworth, known for his wood carvings, will be showing his latest over-the-top fictional “tequila” bottles. All bottles are carved from a local pecan tree. Bosworth, with his partner Buck Johnston, is co-owner of Wrong and this is his first exhibition at Wrong. He has shown extensively throughout Texas and the Southwest.

Sally Van Horn is a self-taught artist based in Austin and works with ink and watercolor on a tiny scale. During the pandemic, Van Horn fell in love with painting the West Texas landscape. The practice of capturing the spirit of this place, a place that cracked open her imagination when she first moved to Texas a decade ago, remains a daily ritual. She recently stepped away from nine years as an elementary teacher to focus on her watercolor painting.

Within Wrong is the newly opened Wrong Bar. The Wrong Bar will be hosting agave spirit tastings throughout the Agave Festival weekend. Please check out wrongmarfa on Instagram for the latest updates.
