Frances Elizabeth Conners Garcia was born on July 15, 1935, in Fort Davis, Texas, to John F. Conners and Frances Millan Conners. She was the second child of eight children: six boys and two girls.
Her family moved to Marfa when she was two years old. She attended Blackwell Elementary School.
She married Alberto R. Garcia in 1953 in Fort Davis, Texas, and settled in Marfa, where they raised a family of four.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alberto; daughter Nellie Garcia Ramos; her parents; and four brothers: Edward, James, Michael and Ernest.
Surviving her are her children, Alberto Jr. and Jesse (Nancy) of Marfa; siblings John and Larry Conners of Marfa and Dorothy Conners of Las Vegas, Nevada; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are her grandsons David, John Daniel, JJ and CJ Garcia of Marfa; Albert Ramos of Alpine, and Don Jr. of San Angelo. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters Crystal and Marissa of Marfa, and Victoria of San Angelo.
