MARFA — The Marfa100 bike race, held last weekend, raised $3,000 for the Marfa Education Foundation, an organization that provides financial support to Marfa ISD.
“We so appreciate being recognized and the generosity of the participants who donated,” Marfa Education Foundation Executive Director Abby Boyd said. “Every bit helps MEF provide educational programs to Marfa ISD students.”
The Marfa100, now in its 14th year, had several local winners in various age categories including Luca and Tom Haines, Claire Lindsay-McGinn, Manu Fresno, Philip Boyd, Joey Benton, Kevin Urbanczyk and Don Culbertson.
